2011 competition

introduction
The Black & White Audiovisual Festival (now in its 7th edition) remains completely focused on the specificity of aesthetic production of audiovisual works in black and white.
If there were still doubts about the viability of a festival focused on the dissemination of works whose concept goes through the choice of black and white as primary aesthetic tool, those doubts are now dissipated.
Each year we continue to receive hundreds of works from many different countries from all continents. This obliges the Festival Board to an interesting selection of work in order to make the screenings, as well as the competition, a party. A celebration.
To all of you who have sent work, our thanks. For those who were not included in the competition this year, our present consideration. For those of you who were selected, our praise.
Regardless of the winners and losers, we welcome you for your generosity. It is precisely this gift, from who creates and produces work in order to enchant the lives of others, that serves as motto for our Festival. The celebration of the more generous and more colourful Audiovisual Festival.
From 21 to 24 of April, see in black and white and think in colour. At the School of Arts from the Portuguese Catholic University - Porto.
